Holotype. China. Napo female [ China / Guangxi Province /Napo/ 14 August 1980 / Z. Chen] ( IZAS).

Description. Female: Length: 6.2 mm, Width: 3.4 mm. Head: 0.56 as broad as pronotum; small
punctures; glabrous; gena with small, narrow, dirty white scales; frons 0.15 as broad as head across
eyes; glabrous. Rostrum: length: 6.8 mm. 1.1 longer than body; derm piceous; broad at base
narrower to cylindrical apex; abruptly emerging from frons; dorsal carina from frons to midpoint
with small punctures; glabrous; straight to past antennal insertion then gently deflected to apex;
scrobe lateral; scape inserted in basal 1/3. Antennae: length: scape 1.9 mm, funicle 2.6 mm, club 0.7
mm; scape 0.7 as long as funicle; funicular segment 1 longer than 2, 3 subequal to 2, 4–5 longer than
6, 7 as long as 5; club not as long as funicular segments 5–7. Thorax: length: 1.9 mm, width: 2.6 mm.
0.7 as long as broad; derm piceous; base not as broad as base of elytra, sinuate, evenly rounded to
constriction; disc with ruggae, subconvex in lateral view, vestiture of small, narrow, elongate, white
scales; pleuron vestiture same as disc; anteroventral macula of clavate, dirty white scales;
mesosternal intercoxal process prominent; scutellum large, as long as broad, clothed with clavate
white scales; mesepimeron clothed with clavate, dirty white scales; mesepisternum sparsely clothed
with small, narrow, elongate, acute apex, white scales; metepisternum clothed with small, elongate,
dirty white scales; metasternum clothed with small, clavate, white scales. Elytra: striae broad, deep,
large punctures; shallow scutellar declivity; humeri pronounced, rounded; intervals broad, clothed
with small, piceous with long, narrow, elongate, white scales; faint basal fascia of narrow, elongate,
white scales; interval 1 with vitta of narrow, elongate, white scales from scutellum to apex; distal 1/3
with broad fascia on intervals 2–6, becoming increasing broader to interval 10 of narrow, elongate,
white scales with bifid apices. Legs: pro- mesofemoral teeth small, metafemoral tooth large, acute
apex, thorn-like; femoral shank narrow to robust clava, clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales;
tibiae subsinuate, pro- mesouncus large, metauncus moderate. Abdomen: sternite 1 and 2 equal in
length behind coxal cavity; 3 and 4 equal in length together longer than 5; sternites 1 and 2 clothed
with clavate white scales, 3–4 with small, narrower, clavate, white scales, 5 with small, narrow,
elongate, white scales. Pygidium : small; clothed with short, seta-like, white scales. Genitalia:
spermatheca: ramus obliquely attached to collum, short, rounded; collum broadly rounded apex
deflected to narrowed cornu basely; cornu narrowed at base expanding medially to narrower up-
turned rounded apex (Fig. 24).
