Material examined. Thailand, Trang, Tambon Ao Tong, LT near chickenshed, 7.83058°N, 99.33806°E; LT, 4.Jun.2013 (10 females, 1 male).
Diagnosis. The only Asian species belonging to the Clavipalpis group with a shallow palpal pit, dark haltere, transverse post stigmatic spot that does not approach vein M1, single pale spot in cell m1, and with an ovoid pale spot in cell m2 adjacent to base of vein M1.
Distribution. Lao PDR, Malaysia, Thailand (new record).
