79. Coronia impressa (Grunow) Ruck & Guiry ( Fig. 160 View FIGURES 157–164 )
Synonym: Campylodiscus impressus Grunow.
Type locality: Baleares .
Reference: Schmidt et al. 1874–1959, pl. 51, fig. 10.
Morphometrics: Valves 30 μm long, 30 μm wide, and transapical ribs 10.7 in 10 μm.
Remarks: Coronia impressa was reported from Portobello Bay of New Zealand ( Wood 1961), and from Hooghly Estuary of Bay of Bengal, India ( Mukherjee et al. 2013). This taxon is listed on the catalogue of British marine diatoms ( Hartley & Williams 1986) and on the phytoplankton list of east Adriatic Sea ( Viličić et al. 2002). Few collection sites are known. It is a subtropical taxon found in warmer marine waters. It is found rarely along the Seogwipo coast, Jeju Island, and thus represents a new record for South Korea.
