BM 1007 one slide/ Comatricha typhoides Rost. v. similis / warts on spores irregu–/lar in size/ Iowa / leg . T.H. Macbride / BM001089145 . NOTES: Lister (1911: 158) cited two collections in the description, “ Iowa ( BM 1007 ); South Carolina ( BM 632 )”. We only found one slide in BM ( BM 1007 ) from Iowa, collected by T.H. Macbride and we designate it as the lectotype .
