Type material (studied). Paratypes (from the type locality), 2♂♂ ( ZIN): “Yu. Kazakhstan Betpak Dala, CholakEspe” ( Cyrillic , light blue, handwritten by N.G. Skopin), “ 7.06.1936 V. Selevin ” (Cyrillic, light blue, handwritten by N.G. Skopin), “coll. N. Skopin ” (white, printed), “Paratypus Colposcelis Selevini 1948 N. Skopin ” (red, handwritten by N.G. Skopin) .
Material. 1♂, 2♀♀ ( ZIN): Kazakhstan, Karasu River 300 km S Dzhezkazgan, 18.v.1970 (leg. N.G. Skopin) ; 2♀♀ ( ZIN): Kazakhstan, the city of Balkhash , 23.ix.1971 (leg. N.G. Skopin) .
Distribution and bionomics. The species is distributed in the Betpak-Dala desert in Central Kazakhstan east to Balkhach Lake. Beetles occur in clay desert with Anabasis and Artemisia ( Skopin 1951, 1961b).
