Cobososia semiobscura ( Pic, 1893)

Otolelus semiobscurus ( Pic, 1893) : Klinger 2000: 278; Nardi 2001: 166; Nardi 2008: 457.

Cobososia semiobscura ( Pic, 1893) : Nardi 2020: 627.

Otolelus semiobscurus Pic, 1893 [sic!]: Bunalski et al. 2023: 115.

Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan ( Bunalski et al. 2023).

General distribution. "Caucasus", Georgia, Russia (South European Territory), "Turkestan" ( Nardi 2020), Iran ( Bunalski et al. 2023).

Notes. Pic (1893: 26) described “ Euglenes pruinosus ? var. semiobscurus ” from "Turkestan". Klinger (2000) raised it to species level but based on material from Caucasus lands. In this framework, as stated by Nardi (2001), it will be necessary to examine the types of the above variety and those of Hylophilus pruinosus var. uniformis Pic, 1925 from "Caucase [= Caucasus]" ( Pic 1925: 13). The latter is currently known as Cobososia pruinosa uniformis ( Nardi 2001, 2008, 2020).
