Notes on C. cessaima Gnaspini, Vanin & Godoy 1998 View in CoL
In the original description of C. cessaima ( Figs. 30 View FIGURES 27–32 , 33 View FIGURES 33–35 ) the authors considered the species as anophthalmic. However, we found a scar (similar to a very small eyespot) in all the C. cessaima specimens analyzed in the present study ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 33–35 ). Hind wings were not represented in the original paper and are illustrated here ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 33–35 ), EL/HWL: 7.31. Two female specimens of C. cessaima were also found in the Gruta Poço Encantado Cave (12°56’42.36”S 41°6’18.72”W), from Itaetê municipality, Bahia state ( Figs. 29, 31, 32 View FIGURES 27–32 ). This is the first record of the species in a different cave than the type locality, which is Lapa do Bode Cave ( Figs. 27–29, 31 View FIGURES 27–32 ).
Material examined. Male, fixed in alcohol 70%, with labels and data: white, handwritten, nankin “Itaetê—BA; Lapa do Bode ; VII/2008; Coarazuphium cessaima ; Col. Ferreira, R.L.” / white, handwritten, nankin “ ISLA 2288” ( ISLA).
Female, fixed in alcohol 70%, with labels and data: white, handwritten, nankin “Itaetê—BA; Gruta Poço Encantado; 9–20/IX/2003; Coarazuphium cessaima ; Col. Cabral, B.C. ” / white, handwritten, nankin “ ISLA 66111” ( ISLA).
Female, dry specimen, with labels and data: white, handwritten, nankin “Itaetê—BA; Gruta Poço Encantado; 9–20/IX/2003; Coarazuphium cessaima ; Col. Cabral, B.C. ” / white, handwritten, nankin “ ISLA 66112” ( ISLA).
