Type material. Holotype female, CHINA, Yunnan Province, Tengchong County, Yong’an Bridge, 25.16212°N, 98.35567°E, 1492 m, 22 October 2003, H.M. Yan ( HNU). Paratypes: 1 ɗ, Gongshan County, Dandang Park, 27.44348°N, 98.39525°E, 1496 m, 21 September 2002, X. Xu ( HNU); 2 ɗ, 1 Ψ, Gongshan County, Cikai Bridge, 27.43287°N, 98.40572°E, 1442 m, 4 October 2002, X. Xu ( HNU); 4 ɗ, 2 Ψ, Gongshan County, Jimudeng Village, 27.54197°N, 98.39340°E, 1573 m, 6 October 2002, X. Xu ( CAS).
Etymology. The specific name refers to the shape of the atrium of epigyne.
Diagnosis. This new species is similar to Clubiona lyriformis Song & Zhu, 1991 in Song et al. 1991: 69, fig. 4, but can be distinguished from the latter by (1) atrium columnar, protruded upward, but lyriform in C. lyriformis ; (2) copulatory ducts smaller.
Description. Female (holotype): Total length 7.40. Prosoma 3.20 long, 2.05 wide; opisthosoma 4.20 long, 2.35 wide. Carapace oval in dorsal view, red brown, with erect thin dark setae on the front ridge. Cephalic portion of prosoma slightly elevated. Fovea longitudinal. Anterior eye row slightly recurved, posterior eye row slightly procurved. AME circular, dark, other eyes light; bases of eyes black. Diameters of eyes: AME 0.15, ALE 0.12, PLE 0.14, PME 0.13. Distances between eyes: AME–AME 0.16, AME–ALE 0.11, PME– PME 0.40, PME–PLE 0.26; MOQL 0.33, MOQA 0.26, MOQP 0.53. Chelicerae dark red brown, with small lateral condyle, promargin with 3 teeth, retromargin with 2 teeth. Gnathocoxae red brown, long and narrow, with dark serrula. Labium red brown, longer than wide. Sternum oval, yellow, with many hairs. Opisthosoma grey, with conspicuous anterior tufts of hairs, dorsum with black thin hairs and two pairs of muscular depressions; venter lightly grey. Spinnerets grey. Legs yellow brown. Tibiae I and II with 2 pairs of spines in ventral view. Measurements of legs: I 6.95 (2.30, 2.70, 1.25, 0.70), II 7.70 (2.45, 2.90, 1.55, 0.80), III 6.30 (2.05, 2.15, 1.65, 0.45), IV 8.35 (2.95, 3.20, 1.95, 0.75). Leg formula IV, II, I, III.
Epigyne ( Figs 11–12 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ): Atrium columnar, protruded upward; copulatory openings located in anterior part of epigyne; copulatory ducts short, downwards excurved; anterior spermathecae slender, tubular; posterior spermathecae bigger, ovoid and semitransparent; fertilization ducts short, curved.
Male (one paratype): Total length 6.75. Prosoma 2.85 long, 2.10 wide; opisthosoma 3.90 long, 1.65 wide. Diameters of eyes: AME 0.12, ALE 0.14, PLE 0.14, PME 0.125. Distances between eyes: AME–AME 0.085, AME–ALE 0.04, PME–PME 0.24, PME–PLE 0.155; MOQL 0.305, MOQA 0.23, MOQP 0.38. Measurements of legs: I 7.45 (2.05, 2.95, 1.55, 0.90), II 8.95 (2.45, 3.55, 2.00, 0.95), III 7.00 (2.05, 2.50, 1.80, 0.65), IV 9.75 (2.70, 3.30, 2.80, 0.95). Leg formula IV, II, I, III. The coloration lighter than holotype, tibiae I and II with 3 pairs of spines, the first pairs smallest, other characters as in female.
Palp ( Figs 13–15 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ): VTA small, short and blunt, RTA dark, slender and cuspidal; embolus filiform, slender and the tip slightly deflexed; conductor membranous and follow the embolus; genital bulb strongly bulging out. In ventral view, sperm duct forms a semicircle.
Distribution. China: Yunnan.
