Cleptes semiatrus: Móczár 1997a: 28 (key), 42 (cat., nitidulus group).
Type locality. “ Palästina, ♀ Type, leg. Geloni, in Coll. m.” .

Remarks. As for the case of Cleptes rugulosus Linsenmaier , the type locality of C. semiatrus Linsenmaier and the name of the collector were written by Bytinski-Salz. Kimsey & Bohart (1991) included C. semiatrus in the nitidulus species group. Móczár (1997a) keyed Cleptes semiatrus based on the original description provided by Linsenmiaer (1968). He received Linsenmaier’s holotype for examination in 1998.
