Note:—Mädler (in Bender & Mädler 1969: 60) incorrectly designated a lectotype of this fossil-species, based on a fossil specimen from Teixeira (1950: pl. 6, fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 [right]), which was not mentioned in the original protologue. A new lectotype is thus designated here by selection of the leaf imprint specimen (figured by Teixeira 1944: pl. 1, figs. 6–6a) from the Lower Cretaceous (Albian) sediments of Vale de Madeira, Portugal.
