Description of Chromobacterium vaccinia HMF 4075

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, flagellated, non-pigmented and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, entire and violet-colored after 3 days of incubation on R2 A at 30° C. Positive for arginine dihydrolase, cytochrome oxidase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, nitrates reduction and urease, but negative for β -galactosidase and indole production in API 20NE test. N -Acetyl-glucosamine, capric acid, D-glucose, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate are utilized. Strain HMF4075 (= NIBRBAC000497911 ) has been isolated from fresh water sample, Jeju, Jeju-do, Korea .
