The name refers to type locality.
Male. Postpedicel longer than its greatest breadth. Left side of epandrium from below as Fig. 88 View FIGURES 88–90 , left gonopod and lobes of hypandrium as Fig. 89 View FIGURES 88–90 and right gonopod as Fig. 90 View FIGURES 88–90 . Wing 1.6 mm long. Costal index 0.54–0.55. Vein 3 with a terminal vesicle which extends about level with tip of costa. All tibiae are brown.
Material. Holotype male, Venezuela, Merida, Macui, 10 km E. of Tobay , 200 m, 28 April 1981, Townes ( DEBU, 14–60).
