Stem slender, branched in the upper part. Middle cauline leaves linear-oblong, acute. Flowers deep pinkish-purple, in a lax, many-flowered cyme. Corolla-lobes usually 2-5-5 mm. Calyx c. £ as long as the corolla-tube. In = 20. C. & E. parts o f Mediterranean region.
