Type:— CHINA. Yunnan: Malipo Xian , in the riverside forest, elev. 600 m, 18 October 2020, S . X. Yang , E . D. Liu , W Fang , J . Zou & C. H . Wang 6415 (holotype KUN [ KUN1498270 About KUN ]; isotypes AA, K, KUN, P, PE) .
Diagnosis:— Camellia luteocalpandria differs from other two species in sect. Calpandria in its petals yellow (not white) and the filament 1-whorled, all united into a tube for their whole length (not 2-3-whorled, inner ones free or partly united).
