Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–2
Callilanguria luzonica Crotch 1876: 381 . Type locality: Luzon. Type depository: UMCZ.
Remarks. Body length: 21.3–25.6 mm. This species is the type species of genus Callilanguria . Villiers (1945) and Harold (1879) both noted that this species has a black head; however, such descriptions are not exact. In fact, the color of the head is more or less red; it varies from red to dark red, not pure black. The antennae, legs and abdomen are black. The elytral apex is truncated, without denticles, and the outer angle is slightly acute. It is the most common species in this genus.
Type specimens examined. Holotype: female ( UMCZ), “ TYPE [blue label] \ Philipine \ TYPE. luzonica Philip ”. Paratypes (3): 1 male, 2 females ( UMCZ): “Luzon \ PARATYPE [blue label]”; “ PARATYPE [blue label] \ Philips”; “ PARATYPE [blue label], Philipp, Jans.”
