Homotypic synonyms: Cirrhopetalum pumilio (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) Hook.f., Fl. Brit. India 5: 778, 1890. Phyllorkis pumilio (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 677, 1891.
Specimens examined:— MON. Mawlamyine District : type; same loc., Parish 220 (icon. W). Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 67), but we have not seen any material from this area.
Distribution:— Myanmar and Thailand.

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.
Notes:— This taxon may be distinguished from B. laxiflorum (Blume) Lindl. by a lip that is twice as long (not equal in length) as the column.
