Distribution: Palaearctic: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia­ Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Gruzia, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Yugoslavia.

This species seems to be less common than B. canescens and B. mendax since few specimens were collected.
