Blepharicera taiwanica Kitakami, 1937: 124 (Blepharocera) View in CoL . Type locality: China, Taiwan.
Diagnosis. Eyes separated by ocellar protuberance; upper division small. Last flagellomere of antenna slightly thicker and shorter than the penultimate. Mesonotum blackish brown. Wings broad, membrane subhyaline except for opaque costal cell and somewhat smoky apical area; Rs about 1.5 times as long as r-m. Tibial spurs 0-0-1. Epandrium transverse. Cercus slightly bilobate, posterior margin concave. Dorsal lobe of gonostylus black, with dense hairs; ventral lobe broadened apically, membranous and glabrous ( Kitakami 1937; Kitakami 1941).
Distribution. China ( Taiwan).
