Micromelum integerrimum (Roxb. ex DC.) Wight & Arn. ex Voigt (1845: 140) View in CoL . Bergera integerrimum Roxb. ex DC.
(1824: 537).
Lectotype (here designated):— INDIA. ‘Ind. Orient.’, s.d., Roxburgh s.n. ( G00209615 !; isolectotypes BR0000005530687 !, G00096617 !, G00209614 !, K000717822 !).
Distribution:— India to China and South East Asia.
Notes:—A.P. de Candolle (1824) described Bergera integerrima on the basis of specimens of Roxburgh from India. Within the protologue, Candolle gave the locality and collector name but did not provide a date of the collection. Pertaining to the type specification provided in protologue, five specimens of Roxburgh were traced, three at G-DC (G00096617, G00209614, G00209615) and one each at BR (BR0000005530687) and K (K000717822). Only the three specimens at G-DC have been considered here for choosing a lectotype because Candolle worked at Geneva. The specimens G00209614 and G00209615 belong to the herbarium Lambert as was mentioned in the protologue. Of these, the best preserved specimen, G00209615, is designated here as the lectotype as it agrees well with the protologue.
One specimen at BM (BM000521703) annotated by Krishna Kumar Shrestha (in sched. 1998) as the holotype is not a part of original gathering because this specimen was collected by Buchanan Hamilton in Narainhetty, Nepal in 1803.
