Bathypogon calabyi Hull, 1958a: 199 View in CoL ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 )
Holotype ♂ Label data: Holotype Bathypogon calabyi Hull // Owieandana / N Flinders Ra. / Hale & Tindale [Aquisition No.: SAMA Database No 29-001177 ]
Condition: Poor. Head: head has been glued back onto thorax with balsam; left side of head eaten out; postpedicel of both antennae missing. Thorax: intact. Wings: intact. Legs: intact, except that right fore tarsi has been glued to label. Abdomen: abdomen has been eaten out. Genitalia: intact but glued to label.
[Author’s Note: In Hull’s paper, the notation at the end of the description states “No date given”; however, a white label with the notation ‘ Nov 1924 ’ is affixed upside down on the Holotype pin, beneath the locality label. The date is consistent with the era of Hale & Tindale who were collecting along the Stewart River in Queensland in 1927, based on specimens in the South Australian Museum. Although not noted in the publication, Owieandana, N Flinders Range, is located in South Australia.]
