Remarks: Thiel & Norenburg (2009: 377) placed Baseodiscus platei ( Bürger, 1896) in the synonym list of Baseodiscus aureus ( Bürger, 1896) with uncertainty. It remains to be determined whether B. platei is distinct from B. aureus .
