Material examined. Holotype ♂ and allotype ♀: MEXICO, Vera Cruz, 30 miles S Acayucan , 21.IV.1962, F. D. Parker col. ( CASC, holotype # 8520 , slide HE461, allotype # 8519 ).
Diagnosis. FEMALE ( Fig. 107 View FIGURES 97 – 108. 97 – 101 ). Black. Mandible with five apical teeth ( Fig. 108 View FIGURES 97 – 108. 97 – 101 ). Clypeus with narrow truncate median lobe. Antennal scrobe not carinate. Frons weakly coriaceous. Vertex slightly convex. Pronotal disc with anterior corner angulate; anterior carina thick and arched forward medially; median carina absent; lateral margin not carinate, but acute; posterior margin paralleled by series of small foveae. Scutellar pit transverse. Mesopleuron with upper fovea rounded.
MALE ( Fig. 109 View FIGURES 109 – 120. 109 – 112 ). Black. Mandible with five apical teeth ( Fig. 110 View FIGURES 109 – 120. 109 – 112 ). Clypeus with subangulate median lobe. Antennal scrobe weakly carinate. Eye with inner margin carinate dorsally. Frons coriaceous. Vertex slightly convex. Temple with strong carina from vertex to base of mandible. Pronotal disc with anterior corner angulate; anterior carina angled forward medially, thick and denticulate; median carina thick, touching posterior series of foveae; lateral carina thick but progressively narrowing posterad; posterior margin paralleled by series of small foveae. Scutellar pit transverse. Mesopleuron with upper fovea rounded. Genitalia ( Figs 111, 112 View FIGURES 109 – 120. 109 – 112 ): paramere almost evenly wide, with rounded apex, dorsal margin slightly convex, ventral sinuous; cuspis divided into two arms, ventral arm elongate, 0.75 × length of paramere, rounded apex, dorsal arm very wide, progressively wider apicad, apical margin concave; aedeagus bottle-shaped, apex almost aligned with cuspis apex, ventral margin projected downward as lamina; basal margin with angulate corner; apodeme with base very dilated outward.
