Key to the larvae of the Corynoneura group
The larva of Physoneura is unknown; the larva Notocladius is not keyed.
1. Small size, usually less than 4 mm; procercus and posterior parapods distinct; antennal segments evenly sclerotized, with normal, short terminal segment; antennae at least as long as 1/2 head length, or if shorter then head capsule elongated, at least 1.5 times as long as wide, except in Ichthyocladius View in CoL . - Character combinations different.................................................................................................................... not keyed
2. Mentum with 16–20 dark, equal sized median and 5 pairs of slightly larger, lateral teeth; mandibular seta interna absent; larvae phoretic on catfishes ............................................................................................ Ichthyocladius View in CoL Fittkau

Tempisquitoneura View in CoL Epler et de la Rosa
- Antennal blade much shorter than flagellum; antenna longer than 1/4 of head length ................................................ 5
5. Antenna about 1/3 of head length; 3rd antennal segment short; Lauterborn organs well developed, generally reach- ing end of 3rd segment; abdominal setae stout, dark and long.................................... Onconeura Andersen et Saether View in CoL
- Antenna at least 1/2 of head length; 3rd antennal segment usually long; Lauterborn organs usually reduced; abdomi- nal setae usually not as above ....................................................................................................................................... 6
