3. Aulacogenia dilatata Cai & Tomokuni View in CoL , sp. nov. ( Figs. 25–27 View FIGURES 25 – 27 )

Description. Color. Brown. Eyes brownish black; apical half of first antennal segment, annulation on second antennal segment, most of head, darker markings on rostrum, median longitudinal depression of pronotum and lateral depressions on posterior pronotal lobe, scutellum, longitudinal stripes on meso and metathoracic sterna, coxae, trochanters, most of femora, annulation on subbasal of tibia, most of abdomen beneath, posterior 1/3 of each segment of connexivum dark brown to blackish brown; base of first antennal segment, inner antennal processes, thoracic pleura, most of hemelytron, markings and spots on femora, tibia (except annulation), lateral sides of abdomen beneath, most of connexivum beneath and basal 1/3 of each segment of connexivum above dark yellow; hemelytron suffused with irregular longitudinal brown stripes. Abdomen beneath suffused with irregular paler markings, seemingly longitudinally striped.

Structure. Small sized. Anteocular portion distinctly longer than postocular portion; lateral sides of anteocular portion nearly parallel, lower margin of anteocular nearly straight; first antennal segment shorter than anteocular portion, second antennal segment subequal to anteocular portion in length; first rostral segment reaching middle of eye, basal 1/3 of second rostral segment thick and apical 2/3 thin; lower margin of postocular portion with 3 nodular tubercles, anterior one largest, middle one smaller, posterior one smallest and indistinct; anterior pronotal lobe distinctly shorter than posterior pronotal lobe, middle of anterior pronotal lobe longitudinally depressed and laterally sculptured; middle of posterior pronotal lobe with a wide, shallow depression, 2 carinae on each lateral side of the depression slender; lateral angles of posterior pronotal lobe rounded, slightly budging upwards ( Figs. 25, 26 View FIGURES 25 – 27 ). Fore tibia not wider than fore femur. Abdomen slightly dilated laterally, posterior angle of each segment of connexivum distinctly protruding in lateral view. Structures of abdominal tip as shown in Figs 25, 27 View FIGURES 25 – 27 .

Measurements. Ψ. Body length 11.20, maximum width of abdomen 3.20, Head length 1.93, length of anteocular part 1.00, length of postocular part 0.61, length of synthlipsis 0.60, distance between ocelli 0.47, length of antennal segments I:II:III:IV=0.80:1.00:0.17:0.63, length of rostral segments I:II:III=0.93:0.36:0.43, length of anterior lobe of pronotum 0.83, length of posterior lobe of pronotum 1.13, maximum width of pronotum 2.93, length of scutellum 0.80, length of hemelytron 6.60.

Type material. Holotype, Ψ, China, Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, Menglun, 670 m, 1991 V25, Wanzhi Cai leg., by light trap, kept in CAU.

Male. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific name refers to the abdomen of this species, which is slightly dilated laterally.

Remarks. The new species is the largest in the corniculata group, and the posterior angle of each segment of the connexivum is distinctly protruding in lateral view. It is easy to separate it from its congeners.
