Halictus cymatoides Vachal, 1911 , lectotype female (MNHP) from Peru, Cuzco. Designation by Moure and Hurd (1987). Examined through photographs.
Diagnosis
Female of this species have the mesepisternum anterior to mesepisternal groove mostly covered with coarse rugae and gena and post-gena striate, resembling other species from A. morrae subgroup. Augochlora cymatoides is distinguished among South American Oxystoglossella by having the hypostomal carina strongly lamellate, translucent, thicker than 0.7× OD, without distinct prominence anteriorly.
