N o t e: I have examined the female holotype from Arusha (HMNB). The habitus is that of Acrotona, but in the form of the spermatheca Atheta rudicollis must be attributed to Datomicra. The two synonymies derive from my examination of the type series of 2 males and 1 female of Atheta (Acrotona) thermarum CAMERON (NHML) and of 1 male of Atheta (Acrotona) faecea CAMERON (NHML) .
