Diagnosis. Ariadna reginae n. sp. is similar to A. obscura , A. tarsalis , A. arthuri , A. multispinosa and A. aurea n. sp. due to the morphology of the male metatarsi I ( Figs 16C‒E View FIGURE 16 , 32C‒E View FIGURE 32 , 38C‒E View FIGURE38 , 54C‒E View FIGURE54 , 56C‒E View FIGURE 56 ) and macrosetae pattern of the tibia I‒II of females, but males differ by the presence slightly sinuous metatarsi I, with a ventroprolateral apophysis in the distal region, bearing a thickened macrosetae ( Fig. 54C‒E View FIGURE54 ); females differ, except A. obscura , by the presence of a ventral lobe with expanded tip. It differs from A. obscura by presenting sinuous lobes and smaller glandular ducts plate ( Fig. 55C‒D View FIGURE55 ).
Etymology. The specific name is in honor of Regina Maria Marsola Giroti, mother of André Marsola Giroti, who, together with his father João Jair Giroti, has given him the gift of life, struggling to provide the means for a good life and education.
