Distribution. China (Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi).
Diagnosis. This species resembles A. (A.) trigonophylla , sp. nov., superficially. It can be separated by the forewing with the white dorsal band extending from the base to the middle of the dorsum; the socius with a small papilla posteriorly; and the phallus 4.2 times the length of the valva in the male genitalia. In A. (A.) trigonophylla , sp. nov., the dorsal band on the forewing extends to above tornus; the socius is triangularly protruded posteriorly; and the phallus is 5.6̄6.4 times the length of the valva in the male genitalia.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin papillatus, meaning papillary, referring to the small papilla of the socius.
