Type locality. São Salvador hydroelectric power plant, state of Tocantins, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 227A View Plate 227 ). Known only from the type locality, in the central portion of the Cerrado ( Plt. 227A View Plate 227 ), at low elevations of the Tocantins River depression ( Plt. 227B View Plate 227 ). No detailed field data on habitat use are available for this species.
