Number of specimens recorded. 4.
Distribution. Thus far only recorded from southern Spain in Europe, but widely distributed along the coasts of North Africa ( Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia) (Pollet 2011). Portugal: Algarve.
Ecology. Bare, wet beaches. In Agadir ( Morocco), it was recently observed in early May (28°C) in abundance at about 30m from the shore line, in the transitional zone between wet and dry sand (Eugen Dietz, pers. comm.).
Rarity (%). 1.1 (very rare).
Activity period. August.
