Species diagnosis. Head, antennae, legs, and elytral apex black; prothorax and rest of the elytra reddish; prothorax rounded laterally, constricted posteriorly and anteriorly; elytra punctate throughout ( Martins & Napp 1992: 468, fig. 12).
Remark. First record of the genus in Argentina.
