Holotype ♀, Thailand, Chiang Rai, 12.iii.2002, collector Butcher (voucher BCLDQ00644, Genbank JF962633 View Materials ) ( CUMZ).
Body length 3.8 mm, fore wing length 3.7 mm and antenna length 4.7 mm.
Antenna with 40 flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere strongly acuminate. Median flagellomeres 1.8 x longer than wide. Occipital carina broadly absent mediodorsally, ventrally joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron largely aciculate with some vertical rugae anteriorly and dorsally, precoxal sulcus moderately deep, narrow, with vertical striation, speculum absent. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina complete. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.35 x 1- CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with glabrous zone. Fore wing vein 1-SR+M strongly sinuate. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.8 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 0.9 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.4 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.35 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose.Hind wing vein m-cu short, tubular, quite far antefurcal. Apex of hind tibia with comb of especially modified and adpressed setae medially and ventrally. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of first tergite weak, evenly rounded, terminating posteriorly at spiracle. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite complete.
Etymology. Named after the wizard character in the Terry Pratchett Discworld novels.
