Length of body 7.0 mm, of fore wing 5.8 mm and of antenna 7.2 mm.
Terminal flagellomere acuminate. Median flagellomeres 1.5 x longer than wide. Occipital carina reduced mediodorsally where its line is demarked by a sudden change of sculpture. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.4 x 1-CU1. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2.1 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.2 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 0.9 x 1-M.
Antenna with median white band on segments 17–30, and with cream white apex (approximately 4 segments).
Etymology. Named after the widely used old name for Thailand.
Notes. In terms of coloration is similar to A. (Aracaleiodes) aglaurus Chen & He, 1991 . It differs from A. (Aracaleiodes) aglaurus and A. (Ar.) unfasciata Chen & He, 1991, in having the antenna black basal to the white band rather than yellow brown, from A. (Ar.) arsenjevi ( Belokobylskij, 1988) (= pulchricorpus Chen & He, 1991), in having the propodeum and 1 st tergite largely black; from A. (Ar.) hubeiensis in having the maxillary palp with white terminal segments, and from A. (Ar.) nitidus Chen & He, 1991, in having the posterior 0.3 of the 2 nd tergite black. In Chen & He (1997) it keys to A. (Ar.) nitidus.
