Type material. Agrilus fulvovittatus Fisher, 1921 . Described from 5 specimens (Holotype & paratypes). Type locality: “Mount Maquiling, Luzon” Also cited from: Philippines: Mindanao. Type specimens: Holotype ♂ ( USNM): “Mt. Makiling Luzon Baker [p] \ Agrilus fisheri Obenb. [h] [white label with black border] \ Type No. [p] 51471 [h] U.S.N.M. [p] [red label] \ Agrilus fulvovittatus Fisher [h] [red label with black border]”.
Agrilus fisheri Obenberger, 1924 View in CoL . Type locality and type specimens see Agrilus fulvovittatus View in CoL .
Examined specimens. PHILIPPINES. Mindanao island group. Butuan, Mindanao; 8°57’N, 125°32’E; 1 PT ( USNM) ( Fisher 1921) \\ Davao, Mindanao; 7°04’N, 125°36’E; 1 PT ( USNM) ( Fisher 1921) \\ Iligan, Mindanao; 8°14‘N, 124°14‘E; 1 PT ( USNM) ( Fisher 1921).
Distribution. PHILIPPINES: Luzon and Mindanao Islands.
Host plant. Larval: Acacia mangium Willd. (cited by Braza 1997 for Agrilus fisheri ).
Remarks. The holotype comes from the montane locality Mount Maquiling, Luzon, while paratypes are from the lowland sites of Mindanao which raise doubts about their conspecifity. The lowland specimens may actually belong to A. striatocollis .
Agrilus fulvovittatus belong to species with subangulate elytral apices. The species is distinguishable by the aedeagus strongly expanded apically, by parameres lacking membranous sensory zones and by the robust medial lobe (penis), which is more than 4 times as wide as the parameres ( Fig. 4C View FIGURES 4 ).
