Etymology. Johnson ms name.
Remarks. Closely allied to superbioides but distinguishable by its larger size, shorter and darker antennae, blackish colouration and the more moderately curved pronotal sides with more acute hind angles.
Type data. Holotype: ♂, Perinet, 12.x.1970, ex forest litter, leg. P.M.Hammond ( BMNH).
