( EUMJ).  Diagnosis: This species can be distinguished from other Taiwanese  Psammoecusspeciesby the small, even-sized lateral teeth on its pronotum and the irregular distances between the adjacent teeth.  Distribution: Taiwan; Japan; New Guinea.  Remarks: This species was described as  P. scitusby Yoshida and Hirowatari (2014). This study examines many specimens in this species, including  P. dentatusand  P. scitus typespecimens. We found no significant differences between these two species in their morphology, including their male genitalia; thus,  P. scitusis synonymized with  P. dentatus. Specimens from an extremely large area have been studied in the course of related revisionary work.  Psammoecus dentatusmay be recorded from many more South East Asian localities. 4134364306 MSNG Guinea-Bissau Grouvelle Hatam Vll Beccari 11 12 2 lectotype
