According to Rajabizadeh et al.(2010)it is found in mountainous area with scattered vegetation.  IUCN. — Least concern.  REFERENCES. — Nilson et al.(2003); Arnold et al.(2007); Rajabizadeh et al.(2010); Kapli et al. Faizi. REMARK  According to Kapli et al.(2013)“The phylogeographical scenario emerging from the genetic data suggests that the present distribution of the genus was determined by a combination of dispersal and vicariance events between Anatoliaand South West of Asia dating back to the Miocene and continuing up to the Pleistocene”.
