Adults found from July to September. In Canada(ON) collected by a Malaise trap in a hardwood forest ( Brunke et al.2012). Also found on a dead buzzard, rotten bird eggs, and live mushrooms on a fallen tree in unspecified habitats ( Génier 1989). NB specimens were found in rotten bolete mushrooms in an old jack pine forest; one was also taken from a Lindgren funnel trap in a trembling aspen stand ( Webster et al.2016).   Material. USA,  Maine,  York Co.: West Lebanon,  1–7.VII.1991, 1 female;   12–17.VIII.1991, 1 female, D.W.
