Pygidium with +/- 14 teeth.   Etymology. From the Latin adjective  angustusmeaning narrow and referring to the overall appearance.   Diagnosis. Only likely to be confused with  D. inretitusfrom which it may be distinguished by the pronotum which is widest medially, hind margin of head without a semi circular depression, the presence of metaventral lines, by the longer and denser elytral pubescence, and the microtrichae on the first visible abdominal ventrite..    Typedata: Holotype. PERU: Cusco Dept.: Villa Carmen Field Station, cafeteria ~ 1.7 kmwest, research transect, 12.89221°S 71.41946°W, 560m, 26–28.V.2011, D.J. Bennett & E. Razuri, flight intercept trap, PER-11- FIT-014 ( MUSM). Paratypes: 4 exs, same data as holotype, ( MUSM/ SEMC/ BMNH).
