As  Ceratomyces, but differing from it by the preapical simple or bifurcate horns on the perithecium and by the multicellular lower receptacle consisting of more than five cells.    Remarks The genus consists of six species on Hydrophilidae (Coleoptera), of which four in Europe, two in Denmark.
