Female, NSW, Robertson, - 34.5833°S, 150.5833°E,  731masl, on  Protea, 10.v.95, G. Wellerleg., [ SAMA 22647–01].    Paratypes. Female, same data as holotype, [ SAMA 22647–02].  Other material examined. Female, NSW, - 32.6421°S, 152.1838°E,  10masl, Hawks Nest on  Banksia, 1988, G. Campbellleg.. SA, Adelaide, ex Kiwi fruit and assorted plant matter from NZ, intercepted at Port Adelaide, 26.v.87, [ SAMA].   Description.Size. Length up to 1.653 mmexcluding antennae, (n=4). Colour. All slide specimens cleared but noted as pale colour in alcohol on label ( Fig. 1O). Head. Eight eyes, G and H smaller than E and F. Ant length=690 μm. Ratio Ant /Head=5.3.Ant IV with bilobed vesicle. Four labral papillae with one spine like projection ( Fig. 18B). Labral Mc formula: 4/554, four prelabral ciliated chaetae, labral chaetae smooth. Labial chaetae MREL 1L 2all ciliated, only with one Mc M; R smaller than M. Lateral process of labial papilla E reaching the tip of the papilla. Maxillary palp bifurcate with three sublobal chaetae. Thorax and abdomen. Length ratio of Abd IV/III=3.23 (n=4). Tibiotarsus without differentiated chaetae, with exception of the presence of the smooth terminal chaetae on legs 3, characteristic for the genus. Unguis length of internal edge 40 μm. Unguis with 4 teeth, paired two at 40 % from base and first unpaired tooth at 70 % from the base, the terminal one minute; lateral teeth below the level of paired ones, dorsal tooth more basal, unguiculus lanceolate with external serrated lamella. Tenent hair clavate (60 μm length), longer than internal unguis edge. Trochanteral organ with 12 spiny chaetae. The length of manubrium and dens 265 + 390=655 μm (n=4). Manubrial plate with 4 chaetae and 2 pseudopores. Mucro bidentate with apical tooth of similar size than sub apical one, and with mucronal basal spine reaching the tip of subapical tooth. Mucro 12 μm. Length of smooth apical portion of dens 30 μm. Macrochaetotaxy. Simplified Mc formula: 3,1,0,2,1a/1,4/1,2/0,0,1/0,1,1,2,2. Head chaetotaxy ( Fig. 18A) area H1with Mc An 2, An 3a1and An 3present with A 5Mc on H2 area. M 1to M 4present as Mc. In sutural row S 0, S 2, S 3, S 4i, S 4, S 5iand S 5. Ps 5present. Thoracic chaetotaxy Th II ( Fig. 18C) with only Mc m 1on T1, T2 area with a 5, m 4, m 4iand m 5present. Abdominal chaetotaxy, a 2present on A1 area as Mc at Abd II, m 3and m 3eMc present on A2 area of Abd II ( Fig. 18D). On Abd III only m 3Mc present on A5 area. Abd IV ( Fig.18E) with Mc B 3on A7 area; area A8 only with one Mc (A 4), area A9 with two Mc (A 5and B 5) and A10 area with two Mc B 6and A 6.   Remarks.Details of colour unknown but likely to be pale. The chaetotaxy of  E. herbaceais similar to  E. ludimus  sp. nov.,  E. peregrina  sp. nov.and  Entomobrya niger  com. nov., taking into account the characters of Abd II and III and the T1 area of Th II, but it is separate from  E. ludimus  sp. nov.and  E. peregrina  sp. nov.by these two species having 3 and 2 Mc on T2 area of Th II, while this new species and  E. niger comb. nov.have 4 (m 5present).  Entomobrya niger com. nov.has M 2, M 3and S 4iabsent on the head, but present on this new species. The only Mc on T1 area of Th II is m 2 in  E. niger comb. nov.and m1 on  E. herbacea  sp. nov., and the Mc of Abd IV are A 4–A 6, B 3, B 5and B 6on  E. herbacea  sp. nov.and A 4–A 6, B 5–B 6and C 2ain  E. niger com. nov.   Etymology.
