Distribution. Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan ( LÖBL 1970; IABLOKOff- KHNZORIAN 1985).
Comments. While the nominate subspecies, S. boleti boleti (PANZER, 1793), is common and widely distributed in Europe, the subspecies dilutum REITTER is rare in collections and seems to be restricted to the Caspian area.
