Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “Xiahe Dongshan / N.98”; (2) handwritten on white label: “Shi 87.7.15”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / trisetigonita / (Jin) ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on slide pinned with the specimen; right wing damaged.

Additional notes: Holotype male collected by Denglai Shi at Xiahe, Gansu Province.

Current name: Botanophila trisetigonita ( Jin, 1983) .
