Pseudoparasitus (Gymnolaelaps) tonsilis Karg, 1989b: 335 .
Laelaspisella tonsilis .— Joharchi et al., 2016: 18 View Cited Treatment .
Karg (1989b) described Pseudoparasitus (Gymnolaelaps) tonsilis from St Lucia. Joharchi et al. (2016) transferred it to Laelaspisella because the dorsal shield is hypertrichous over its whole surface (confirmed by Nemati & Gwiazdowicz, 2016; Nemati et al., 2019); genu IV has two ventral setae; and the metasternal setae are absent. Karg (1989b) illustrated the insertion socket for the dorsal cheliceral seta, but not the seta itself.
