Lectotype (Borssum Waalkes in Blumea 14: 100. 1966): Herb. Linn. No. 875.31 ( LINN) .

Current name: Hibiscus esculentus L. ( Malvaceae ).

Note: Although Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 5: 143. 1926) indicated material in LINN as type, they did not distinguish between sheets 875.31 and 875.32 (which are evidently not part of a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply).
