(Figs. 4, 16; Table 1)
Glyphotmethis holtzi View in CoL aff. pulchripes: Ünal 2001: 3 View in CoL .
Type locality: Turkey: Konya, Bozkır. Holotype: male ( AIBUEM).
Material examined: 39 specimens. TURKEY: Konya, Bozkır, Avdan , 1300 m, 20.6.1997 , 3 ♂, 2 ♀; Pınarcık , 1100 m, 20.6.1997 , 4 ♂, 4 ♀; 6 km NE of Bozkır , 1400 m, 20.6.1997 , 1 ♂, 5 ♀, leg. M. Description and diagnosis: Male (holotype): Pronotum (Figs. 4a, c, e) long and narrow; with indistinct and blunt tubercles; prozona low with indistinct lobes, in some specimens prozonal lobes absent; lateral projections of mesozona very indistinct or absent in some others; metazona flat, narrow and long, lateral margins straight, hind margin acute angular; tegmina (Figs. 4a, c, e) long and broad, reaching beyond hind knee; axillary 1 and axillary 2 veins of hind wing distinct and separated; distal excision of dorsal carina of hind femur distinct, its ventral carina clearly wavy; inner side of hind femur dark blue; inner side of hind tibia dark blue in basal part, apical 1/4 red; penis valves (Figs. 4g, h) stout apically, their apices strongly curved upwards in lateral view, widened in posterior view; lophi (Figs. 4i) with more than 20 dense spines; posterior margin of epiphallus (Figs. 4i) with a broad rounded projection. Female: Body size small; pronotum (Figs. 4b, d, f) with small, indistinct tubercles; prozona very low, its lobes indistinct, absent in some specimens; lateral projections of mesozona indistinct; metazona flat, long and narrow, 1.7 times longer than prozona and only 1.2 times wider than long, its hind margin angular; tegmina (Figs. 4b, d, f) pointed at apex, reaching beyond end of first abdominal tergite, mostly to half of second tergite; distal excision of dorsal carina of hind femur distinct, its ventral carina clearly wavy; inner side of hind femur dark blue basally, with an indistinct red spot in anterioventral margin (stridulatory lamellae); inner side of hind tibia dark blue in basal part, apical 1/4 turns to red or reddish-blue in some specimens.
This supspecies is different from G. holtzi holtzi by the indistinct tubercles of pronotum, lower prozona, indistinct lateral projections of mesozona and lobes of prozona, narrower and longer metazona, the hind legs with much less red color and distribution. It is different from G. holtzi pulchripes by the indistinct tubercles of pronotum, lower prozona, indistinct lateral projections of mesozona and lobes of prozona, flat and longer metazona with straight lateral margins and distribution. From G. holtzi brachypterus by the lower prozona, indistinct lateral projections of mesozona and lobes of prozona, narrower and longer metazona with acute angular hind margin, much longer male tegmina and distribution.
This subspecies is near to G. holtzi holtzi by the long and broad tegmina; to G. holtzi brachypterus by the coloration of hind legs but it is different from them by the characters given above. It has similar long metazona with G. dimorphus but it is different from it by the lower prozona, indistinct pronotal tubercles, lateral projections of mesozona and lobes of prozona; flat metazona and smaller body size.
Distribution: ( Fig. 16). Turkey: Bozkır and environments.
Etymology: The name of this endemic subspecies “turcicus” refers to its geographical distribution, Turkey.
