Type: — UZBEKISTAN. Ad declivia gypsacea elevationis Kongur-tau prope urbem Bek-budy, 13 May 1928, Linczewski 87 (holotype: TASH! Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 , isotypes: TASH!).
Note: — The holotype was found in the TASH in 2017 ; therefore neotypes designated by Pimenov & Kljuykov (1982) lapse their meaning.
Distribution:— Afghanistan, Central Asia (Pre-Aral deserts, Sary-su River valley, Betpak-Dala, Mirzachul, Kyzylkum, Western Tian-Shan, Western Pamir-Alai): Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.
Distribution in Uzbekistan:— I-4 Nuratau. I-4-a Nuratau (Nuratau Range, the slopes of the mountains between Nur-ata and Pashat, 24 April 1918, Korovin 60); I-4-c Nuratau relict Mountains (on the slope of the remnant Kokchatau mountain, 17 May 1964, Adylov 2380). I-6 Western Hissar. I-6-a Kashkadarya (Guzar, Ak-Rabad, sandstones, 30 April 1916, Popov G 434). II-2 Middle Syrdarya. II-2-b Mirzachul (Kamysty-Kuduk, clay desert, 18 May 1923, Vvedensky 1262; between the Golodnaya Steppe and Urusatievskaya station, 30 October 1932, Popov 7). II-3 Kyzylkum. II-3-a Kyzylkum (southeast border of Kyzylkum desert, near the Khal-ata spring, east from the spring, in rock crevices, 19 May 1937, Bochantsev 513; southeast border of Kyzylkum desert, between the Jamenady spring and Shaidaras well, Kuldzhuk-Tau mountains, porphyronous slope, in rock crevices, 21 May 1937, Bochantsev 540; southeast border of Kyzylkum desert, Kaldzhir-Tau mountains, gravelly slopes, limestone outcrops, 10 May 1937, Bochantsev 298; southeast border of Kyzylkum desert, Tarit-kuduk neighborhood, outcrops of variegated rocks to the west from the well, sandy slopes, 29 April 1937, Bochantsev 166; Kyzylkum, Karak-tau mountains, southeast part, 50 km to the northwest from Bayrakum, variegated clays, 16 May 1963, Tsukervanik; Kuldzhuk-tau mountains, southern slope, 7 km to the north from Ayak-Guzhumda, 21 May 1983, Momotov). Habitat:—Loess and gypsiferous slopes, red sandstones cracks, gravelly terraces, sand, edges of sand deserts, dry streambeds, rarely in rock fissures, up to 1000 m.
