Peirates View in CoL sp.
( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 )
Material examined: TOGO: Lama-Kara near road to Kétao, 9°33′N 1°12′33″W, 15.x.1988, at light, leg. Rolf Garms (1 ♂) GoogleMaps .
Remark: Though presenting the same coloration as the above listed female of P. maurus its other characters’ combination does neither match this nor any other known species ( Coscarón, 1997). It shares with P. areatus Miller, 1950 and P. aurigans Distant, 1902 having the ocelli on a tubercle and very similar male genitalia. However, the parameres of P. aurigans are hairless (in P. sp. and P. areatus hairy), while the coloration of the hemelytra in P. areatus differs from the present specimen.
