Genus Pseudathous Méquignon, 1930
Comment. Based on the work by Pulvirenti & Platia (2022), all Iranian species previously classified in Hemicrepidius should be included in the genus Pseudathous . This applies to five species reported by Platia & Ghahari (2016) plus an additional one reported here (see below). Hemicrepidius hirtus (Linnaeus, 1784) and H. niger (Linnaeus, 1758) were already transferred to Pseudathous by Pulvirenti & Platia (2022). Here, we propose the following new combinations: Pseudathous agajevi ( Platia, 2008) comb. nov. (originally in Hemicrepidius ; Platia 2008), Pseudathous nigritulus ( Reitter, 1890) comb. nov. (originally in Athous , later in Hemicrepidius ; Reitter 1890, Cate 2007, respectively), and Pseudathous rahmei ( Németh & Platia, 2014) comb. nov. (originally in Hemicrepidius ; Németh & Platia 2014).
