Genus Gambrinus LeConte, 1853 / Limoniscus Reitter, 1905
Comments. Platia & Ghahari (2016) listed from Iran one species of Limoniscus Reitter, 1905 . Etzler (2019) revised Limonius Eschscholtz, 1829 and related genera, including Limoniscus , and considered Limoniscus being a synonym of Gambrinus LeConte, 1853 . This is, however, not accepted by one of us, G. Platia, who considers Limoniscus a valid genus based on the presence of a clear carina on the posterior angles of pronotum.
